    Mrs. Annie R Moody

    July 16, 1932 - January 18, 2022

Annie Rosa Moody, the matriarch of her family, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2022. She was born on July 14, 1932 to the late Kelly and Annie Mae Banks Lashley in Northampton County, North Carolina. Annie received her education through the Northampton County Public School System, were she served faithfully as a Food Service Assistant for many years until retirement. You could always count on her to serve you with a pleasant smile. At an early age she confessed faith in Christ and joined Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church, were she also served as a devoted cook until the declining health of her husband. Annie spent 68 years of marriage with the love of her life Charlie Moody, whom precedes her in death. Together they produced five sons, whom Annie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that she always provided a home cook meal for. Annie always put her family first and never once complained. Through her strength she carried her family until it was time for her to take her final rest. Annie will always been known to her family as one of the strongest women you will ever meet. Annie is preceded in death by her mother and father as well as her love, Charlie Moody; one sister Margarette Sykes; and one brother Nelson Lashley. Those left to Cherish her memory are five sons; Calvin Moody (Sheila) of Gaston, Kenny Moody (Carolyn) of the home, Elton Moody of the home, Clyde Moody of Gaston, and Alexander Moody of Roanoke Rapids; one sister-in-law Doris Elaine Moody Robertson of Richmond, VA; one brother-in-law David M.
